Saturday Morning Rituals!

GOOD MORNING! (maybe)

It’s Saturday morning and to be honest, my Saturday morning is technically Monday morning! ( So if you are reading this, you know I’m at the salon enhancing beauty, so just go with the flow)  So what are my morning rituals to keep me on track with my household, career goals and beauty? Here is a small glimpse of my morning routine!

PRAYER!

I lay in bed and reflect on all the good and bad of the previous week. Think about the things I am grateful for and certain areas of my life that needs attention.  Of course, I pray about it.  Surrendering everything to God allows him to step into your day before you even leave the bed. Most of the times I sleep with a bible at the foot of my bed. So I won’t have to leave the bed. The study bible that I prefer to use is ESV Daily Reading Bible, it breaks the bible down in a year and I am able to study daily at my pace.  Two things for sure, gratitude and releasing your burdens to God starts your day right!

THROW LAST WEEK AWAY!

I get up, walk through my house and throw away things that are no longer of good use to me. Cups, receipts, old mail, empty beauty products from behind the shower curtain. Gather it up with the rest of the trash and throw it away. It helps reduce clutter.  Simple but effective!

ABOUT FACE!

I exfoliate, peel, pluck and massage my face with a great exfoliant, cleanser, and moisturizer. A great week starts with fresh skin. Removing all the toxins from the previous week allows your skin to breath and prevents acne and aging!  You can include the rest of your body when you shower. The Glow Matters!

Commit to a New or Old Goal!

Last week is done and over, so what can you do to make this week different or more successful than the previous week? I normally look at the things that I achieved and the things that I didn’t. Implement the unaccomplished goals for the new week and tackle those things first early on in the week. If I can be honest, I have headshots that I need to get done. That’s number one on my list and completing my vision board for 2018! A journal is a great accountability partner. Journaling helps you remain focus and reminds you of the things that you need to accomplish. To-do list is important when trying to achieve mini- goals. Monday feels good when you have accomplished everything on your list. Use Saturday to plan for the following week and watch you have a better week. Plan for Success!

FAVORITE COLORS, FRAGRANCE, AND OUTFITS!

You feel good when you rocking your favorite color. So pick and pull some of your favorite outfits ( even your favorite scrubs) and colors to wear to church and work. This will have you feeling confident! So yes, clean laundry and picking up dry cleaning is important. Last week’s cilantro smell from the Mexican restaurant on your favorite cardigan is not cute. WASH IT! Have a favorite fragrance?  Wear it! If it puts you in good mood then go for it, just don’t go overboard.

SMALL CHANGES LEADS TO BIG CHANGES IN YOUR LIFE!

Even though they seem like small changes over time it leads to drastic changes in your year. I hope you develop healthy routines that create a healthy lifestyle. Only you can change those goals into realities. Nobody else can do it but you! Happy Saturday!  BE BLESSED!
